The Prospector 17 is the longest canoe in our lineup and is the go to tool for those needing more cargo capacity for extended wilderness trips. Its length allows it to glide very well on the water, which makes it a fast boat. In spite of it’s length the Prospector 17 is still a capable solo paddling canoe especially with the addition of a kneeling thwart.
Our Carbon Kevlar lay-up blends amazing aesthetics with modern composite technology. The result is a canoe that looks as good as it preforms. Dyed Kevlar (Red or Teal) is woven together with black carbon fiber, creating a composite fabric with the robustness of Kevlar while also maintaining the weight saving characteristics of carbon fiber. The interior of our Carbon Kevlar canoes feature a tasteful earth-tone Basalt Innegra Commingle while foam ribs and a floor insert provide extra strength in key structural areas.
